I am in my 50th year of learning and am greatly enjoying and feeling challenged by being a PhD student in Educational Leadership and Administration at the University of Alberta. I have a demonstrated history of working collaboratively to get things done throughout my experience in school and district administration, Human Resources, leadership and staff development, and working internationally in my three years in China.
In addition to my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Western Washington University, my learning journey includes a Certificate of Organizational Development from the Industrial Relations Centre at Queen’s University (2013), and graduation from the Learning Academy (2017) of the professional learning organization, Learning Forward. I was a member of the provincial Rural Education Advisory Committee from 2015-2017, and sat on the BCSSA Advisory Panel to the Thompson Rivers University Leading and Teaching in Schools research project with Dr. Ken Leithwood.
My proudest professional accomplishments are working with others to produce meaningful work that makes a difference in the lives of people.

I am most proud personally of my marriage of 33 years, three wonderful children, daughter-in-law & son-in-law, and now two grandchildren (and more on the way they tell me).
I am committed to learning and helping others to learn 4 forever.
I thank everyone in his life who has helped me, or challenged me, to keep learning!
